The Campaign to Provide Postgraduate Opportunities to the Class of 2020
This year’s Colby graduates are entering a job market profoundly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Hiring freezes, withdrawal of jobs and fellowships—all of this threatens to derail graduates’ careers and keep them out of the workforce at a time when the world needs their talents most.

“Two months ago, the Class of 2020 was getting ready to enter into the hottest job market in decades. That world no longer exists. Now, more than ever, our job is to open doors that will give them the chance to start the careers for which they’ve worked so hard. At Bank of America there are 40 Colby people working at the organization. There are hundreds of members of the Colby community working in finance ready to help. We can all play a role in Paying it Northward and helping these incredible graduates.”
“We have not seen a hiring environment for college seniors as challenging as this one since 2008. At MarketAxess we have had tremendous success with Colby grads, in all areas of our firm. They come in well prepared, work hard, and never shy away from a challenge. We will be using this opportunity to double down on Colby grads and I encourage the rest of the Colby nation to join us.”

30,000 People. One Goal.
If there’s one thing Colby people do it’s lean in when things are uncertain. Provide support when it’s needed most. We look out for our own and open doors of opportunity—even when so many other doors are closing.
Unprecedented times call for unprecedented actions. Help us provide opportunities for this year’s graduates—secure a full-time job, provide a postgraduate fellowship, create a short-term project, or facilitate a volunteer opportunity to keep these young professionals’ lives on track even while the ground shifts under their feet.
